This year I am so grateful to be spending Thanksgiving with Jonathan and his family in Virginia. This week we've gone to so many flea markets, antique stores, and even rummaged through an old restaurant and storage room full of stuff... it was just like an episode of American Pickers! Here's a pic of Jon and his little friend from the zoo... have a happy turkey day!!

Dear friends,
I am so happy to have been featured over at Happy Sighs by my friend Liz! Liz illustrates the sweetest greeting cards and I really admire her incredible talents...look at how adorable her Christmas cards are over at her store, Betsy Ann Paper!
this one is my absolute favorite
All of her cards are so pretty and extra special because they're great to keep on display!

Flea Market Randomness.
When I was a child I had an idea of flea markets as,well, places to get infested with fleas. Since then, I've been to quite a number of flea markets and I can't say that has ever happened! I found out this morning that the American flea market originated in France at the century old Marches aux Puces (which is literally translated, "market of fleas"). This outdoor market is the home to many vendors who sell mostly secondhand items...which explains the "fleas".
I went to a flea market last weekend... and I am always super delighted over the randomness! I can just say that this "marches aux puces" was a lot less FRENCH...and a lot more....NEW JERSEY.
Aside from the crazy graveyard of doll parts, I did find this cute little buddy for an owl found a few years ago thrifting!
